FSUS Cafeteria Welcome Letter
Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year
We are happy to welcome our new Food Service Management Company-Sodexo to the FSUS cafeteria. We are proud to have healthy and child-friendly meals served in the FSUS cafeteria. There are several “Main Entrees” to choose from for both breakfast and lunch each day. All menus are posted on our website and in the cafeteria. Menus may change due to food availability. Every child enrolled at FSUS is provided a lunch account number. Student ID cards will be scanned to access the students lunch account. Elementary student lunch cards are given to the classroom teacher so they are available on the first day of school. Secondary can pull up their ID card from the FOCUS app on their cell phone. If a student does not have access to a cell phone they may request a printed ID card from the cafeteria.
The National School Lunch / Breakfast Programs (school meals) are offered at FSUS. For the school year 2021-2022, these programs are free to all students. Ala-Carte items are an additional cost and not part of the programs. Prices for these items will be available on the school website. A National School Lunch / Breakfast Application can be found in your student’s orientation folder, on the school website www.fsus.school, or in the Cafeteria. Each household only has to fill out ONE (1) application, not one for each child. All applications must be submitted to the Cafeteria Office. A Determination Letter will be mailed to the address on the application once the application is processed.
Even though all students will eat school lunch/breakfast for free this school year (21-22), we encourage every family to fill out an application to determine if they qualify for any additional benefits at FSUS. Qualification for the Free or Reduced Meal Program could affect your Students' fees. Please complete the “Share Information Form”, so that we may share this information in other departments.
All cafeteria purchases are made through an account from which you deposit money. Parents/guardians are responsible for keeping track of the account balance and for making payments into the account when necessary. There are several payment options:
- Online at https://paypams.com . You must create an account before you can make a payment or monitor your child’s account. You will need your child’s 10-digit Student ID# to register (you only have to register one time). Please note: There will be a fee to pay online, but not to monitor the account balance. The PayPAMS Mobile App for parents is available for Android and iPhone. The convenient app provides you with options to make payments, to view the students’ meal account balances and cafeteria purchases and will show the last three payments on the account. Accounts may also be personalized by adding student pictures.
- Meals may be paid on site by check, money order or cash in the Cafeteria. If paying by check, please put the child’s name on the check. Payment for more than one child may be submitted on a single check simply by noting how you would like the money distributed in the memo of the check. All cash money received as payment will be deposited into the account. Change will not be provided.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Christine Cone at email@example.com or call the cafeteria at 245-3865.
Cafeteria Meal Charge Policy
The policy is designed as a convenient option for all families when children forget to bring lunch or lunch money. Students are reminded of their account balance or how much they owe every time they go through the service line. Families registered with PayPams will also receive alerts when the account is low. Ala Carte food is never allowed to be charged. Families will be notified by an automated call once the account has a negative balance. Students who have unpaid cafeteria balances will be unable to receive a yearbook at the end of the school year.
