WELCOME TO 2ND GRADE!

I am pleased to welcome you to the 2022 - 2023 school year!  In addition to a fresh start to a new school year, we also have a new classroom where we will work hard, have fun, and learn a lot!  But, as you know, school is not the only place to learn, as the world is our classroom and we are your child's teacher.  Together, I know we can provide your child with learning experiences that excite and motivate him/her.  

MY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

I graduated from FAMU in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and from FSU with a Master's Degree, also in Early Childhood Education.  After completing my internship at FSUS, I vowed that this was the place to be!  I started teaching 3rd grade in the fall of 2002, making this my 20th year of teaching.  I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grade.  I have been the K-2 ESE/MTSS teacher for the past eight years.  After much consideration, I returned to the classroom, teaching my favorite level, second grade!

My Florida certifications included:  PreKindergarten/Primary Education, Reading, English for Speakers of Other Languages, and Exceptional Student Education
