FSUS Achieves High Marks on FSA

During the 2020/2021 School year, FSUS offered academics, sports, clubs, activities, and events throughout the school year. FSUS is proud to announce that 100% of our graduating Class of 2021 has graduated. FSUS worked tirelessly to make an unusually challenging year the very best we could for our students.

Our Florida State Achievement data was released two weeks ago and we could not be more proud of our assessment results. While there were overall percentage drops across the state (and some in of our data), because of our exemplary teaching, your students continued to achieve at such very high levels. Florida State University Schools surpassed state averages in almost every student achievement category. Every one of our averages was double-digit percentage points above the state averages.

FSUS will work on continuing to provide service for our students' learning needs in the coming months.

FSUS wrapped FSA testing as the #1 School District in the state for 3rd Grade ELA, 4th Grade ELA, 5th Grade ELA, 5th Grade Science, 8th Grade Science, 7th Grade Math, and 8th Grade Math. These test results come at the conclusion of the toughest year in recent educational history.

Megan Crombie, Standards implementation and Math data/progress monitoring lead, stated "The 2020-2021 school year was the most challenging year educators have ever faced. Even though we were in uncharted territory, our faculty, staff, students, and leadership never gave up. Day in and day out, we all gave 100% no matter the obstacles. At FSUS, we did more than just survive; our assessment scores showed that our students thrived! We are so proud of the results". Megan Crombie also highlighted that FSUS 6th grade ELA scores were the highest for the school since 2014. FSUS looks forward to providing excellent instruction for the 2021/2022 school year.
