Kiersten Cawley Finishes As National Runner-up At U.S. Ski Nationals
Florida State University School’s Kiersten Cawley capped a great ski summer with a 2nd place finish in the Girls 2 Slalom, at the USA Waterski National Finals. Kiersten joined nearly 700 skiers this summer as she competed in Slalom.
The American Water Ski Association, a sport discipline organization of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports, and Waters Edge Ski Club hosted the tournament. Kiersten earned a spot in the national competition by securing a national ranking that placed her at the top-end of national rankings.
Kiersten just missed capturing a national championship by 2 buoys at 14.25m. This is an astonishing feat and follows in the footsteps of current National Champion and FSUS Alum, Kelley Breeden.
Kiersten gains an automatic bid at next year's national championship as a runner-up and looks to represent FSUS at the national level for many years to come.
