is a first-year student at Florida High. He is in the guitar 1 class and has played for several years already. He sets such a good example in class. Even though he has played longer than other students, he is a support to his classmates and leads by example. He is always on task and strives to succeed. Congratulations to Gus for a wonderful guitar solo at the guitar concert on November 8.
10th Grade-Jordan Bond
Jordon Bond brings a positive attitude and a sense of dedication to class every day. His worth ethic is always on point – he knows what he needs to do, and he doesn’t stop until he has done it well. He is a thoughtful and courteous student whose sense of humor and inquisitiveness is often hidden behind his quiet demeanor.
11th Grade- Ashley Casciotti
Ashley maintains a 4.0 (4.5789 weighted) grade point average while challenging herself in rigorous Advanced Placement and Honors courses. Ashley is kind and courteous to her peer. When others ask Ashley for academic assistance, she places others above herself. Through her artwork, Ashley shows talent and exceptional skill. She is thoughtful and meticulous crafting beauty through each piece she produces.
12th Grade- Anthony Simmons
Anthony Simons has been in orchestra and chorus throughout middle school and high school. He has been a student conductor for the chorus and received superior ratings as the FSUS Chamber Orchestra student conductor at our Music Performance Assessment for 3 consecutive years. He was nominated for the Florida Music Education Association High School Honor Orchestra on cello and has been a soloist in the FSUS Concert Chorus. He has consistently received superior ratings on cello at the North Florida String Festival and received the Director’s Award for Orchestra in 2017-2018. He was selected to the Leon County All-District Orchestra in 2018 and 2019 and received the National School Orchestra Award in 2019. He has been a mentor to other Florida High chorus and orchestra students, leading sectionals in orchestra and chorus. He is an amazing musician and a joy to teach.
