The Florida State University School Library Media Center serves as a keystone for the curriculum needs of the school community while also promoting and providing for students' recreational reading. The Library Media Center assists students in becoming life-long information seekers and ensures that they develop the skills to utilize information effectively through collaborative instruction and flexible access.
- Spaces available for independent studying/work, small group collaboration, and classes
- More than 16,000 books available for checkout
- More than 30 research databases for students
- Opportunities to participate in state book award programs
- 3D printer for students and classes to use
- STEAM tools and kits for classes and individual students to use
- Collaborative lessons with K-12 teachers on topics such as research skills, reading skills, plagiarism, and Book Tastings
Hours
7:30 am - 3:15 pm
Elementary student visits: All elementary students will visit the library with their class once a week.
Secondary student visits: Secondary students may visit the library before and after school as long as capacity has not been reached.
